Hey guys,
I was just wondering if any of you are watching the end of the baseball season and how you think teams will do in the playoffs. Personally, my team is the Atlanta Braves. I think they\'ll get knocked out before the World Series, unfortunately. And that\'s even if they make it to the postseason (It looks good now, but they haven\'t clinched yet). Who\'s your team? I know a lot of people who jumped on the bandwagon will say the Yankees, but that\'s alright. Any predictions? I\'m going to say this though: I don\'t think Seattle will get by the Bombers. I still think the Yanks\'ll win it all, as much as I don\'t want that to happen. What do you all think?

Big Indians fan here.  I don\'t like the prospect of playing Seattle, but I still like our chances.  We have the best offense in the league and a great bullpen.  Hopefully our starters can keep us in the game, that\'s all they need to do.  The starters have stepped up in September, so hopefully they\'ll continue to do well.

I think Arizona is gonna win the NL.  They have the 2 best pitchers in the NL in Johnson and Schilling.  Plus a decent lineup featuring Luis Gonzalez.  Having to face Johnson and Schilling twice each, like that other poster said, is going to be hard for teams to overcome.

LOL yeah lava, that\'s those damn Yankees.  Myself, I\'m a boarderline Tigers and Indians fan, since I\'m like equal distance from them so right now, I\'m rooting the Indians on since the Tigers, suprise suprise finsihed dead last again.  So go Tribe.

I like the Tigers too. Well, kind of. They have their spring training facility in Lakeland, FL. So I go over to Lakeland a few times to see them play. I\'ll like them more when they get better though. They had this one guy a year or 2 ago. His name was Karim Garcia. I don\'t know if you remember him. I remember the first time I saw him, he hit a huge homer in the old Tiger Stadium. I don\'t know what ever happened to him, but I think someone can profit by signing him. He\'s a big, strong guy.

Wouldn\'t it be something if the A\'s knocked off everyone in the playoffs?

That team is hot as hell right now!

If Atlanta makes the playoffs I\'m not willing to bet they\'ll go far.

Their pitching staff crumbles in the postseason.  Not only that, their best October pitcher is now their spot closer (Smoltz).

In the NL I could see the D\'Backs going pretty far if the guys after Schilling & Johnson hold up in the rotation.

In the AL, I think the A\'s are the Mariners\' biggest threat.  We\'ll see if the Mariners can hold on - they lost four in a row the other week.  Gasp.

The Yankees are the perennial favorite but something tells me they won\'t be back in the Series this time around.

Man, I\'m glad that the Braves won tonight. Magic Number: 1. They\'re going to do it! In the beginning of the season, I never would\'ve expected Philadelphia to even have a winning record. It is amazing what Larry Bowa did with that team, even though I don\'t care for him too much. I actually had Arizona going to the World Series in my Spring Training predictions. But I didn\'t want to put them ahead of my Braves, hehe, so I picked the Braves. Another thing is Oakland, like you said. I remember in May/June thinking \"That\'s got to be so frusturating for the fans.\" But they turned it around nicely. And don\'t forget: last year, Oakland took the Yanks to 5 games in the ALDS. It was a great series. I don\'t think the Braves will reach the World Series, as much as I hate to say that, even though I want them to. If they face the Cards again, I think they\'re dead. If they face Arizona, they\'ll have trouble. Bobby Cox is has to pull something out of his bag o\' tricks...Also, damnit! I can\'t stand Barry Bonds. Cockiest, most arrogant player I have ever seen. I know he\'s a good player, but as a person, phsst. I\'m rooting for Sosa next year. All the way to 75 (I hope).
