A suprise in honor of my 5000th post.

You all know that I\'m one of the oldest members on AA. I\'ve been a mod for more than a year now. I\'ve seen AA grow, develop, pass in and out of trends. And it\'s been wonderful.

I\'ve made some really awesome friends along the way too. Much too many to name. And I\'ve had my differances with some members as well, but nothing lasting, I hope.

5000 posts is the biggest landmark number anyone\'s hit on the forums (6000 isn\'t as important ), and even though I\'m not the first to hit it, it\'s still really special for me.

Thanks for being there for me, everyone.

And if you haven\'t realized it already, this is a goodbye thread.

The forums have outgrown me. I served my part on AA for as long as it needed me... but things have grown and changed. My senior year starts on Tuesday the 14th, and it\'ll be the busiest year to date. My social life has picked up, I\'ve become a lot more busy with my friends, and I *think* I\'m about || close to having a boyfriend. That\'s another story though. In short, I\'m going to have to scramble to do everything coming up.

AA has grown, and I have grown.
It\'s come time for me to pass my title on.

So in the tradition of PIM, begun when j_son hand-selected me to fill his shoes... LadyDragoness, I\'d be honored if you\'d be the mod who fills my place. You\'re a good writer, you\'ve contributed a lot to the forums, and you\'re a really good friend. I trust that you\'ll do a good job as mod of Poetry.

I\'m still going to be on AIM whenever I can manage it, and if anyone wants to drop me a line, I\'m always available through e-mail: mellowhorn@hotmail.com . LadyD, I\'m gonna be checking up on PIM every once in awhile. Hehe. Take good care of her.

Sorry Gray, even though I respect you, your \"decision\" is utter bullshit.

Now Lady D, is a fine person, but she is still pretty much a newbie. There are other people here, who have been here longer, and dying to be mods. Lady D, hardly writes poetry, I\'ve seen maybe 5 poems by her, whereas some of us, post poems here almost daily. We get no feedback, no respect, but we don\'t bitch about it. And yet you name someone who barely does? Shit, you might as well have named Stalker or Billi as your choice.

This really is a sad day for PiM. Now someone will say \"oh well he expected himself\" which isn\'t true. Granted I would have loved it, I however expected someone who had been here alot longer, knew alot more about writing and poetry and posted poems alot more often, basically someone other than Lady D.

In all honesty, between everything thats gone on here(the forum not just PiM) in the last month, this is like too much. I will no longer post my work here probably. Between lack of feedback, and your decision, there\'s no point, none at all. And another honest thing, I\'m not the only one that feels this way(about your choice) several other regular posters in PiM feel the same way.

As I said, I mean no disrespect, but your choice, frankly sucks.

Mav.  I thought more of you than to do that.  Gray has her reasons for picking Lady D.

The choice is in the best interest of poetry and the members.  Personally, I know we\'re all sad to see her leave (she was one of the reasons I was even selected to be a mod, she\'s always been behind me 105%).  But putting your bs \"everyone thinks it sucks\" response is worse than seeing her leave.   I don\'t want anyone else to leave because of this.  

Bottom line is length of time and amount of posts in the forum don\'t really matter quite as much as other qualities.  Lady D fit everything Gray required beautifully and was the first choice for her.  Gut insticts can\'t be wrong.

Personally, I\'d be proud to have her mod with me.  I trust Gray\'s decision, and like she\'s been for me, I\'m 1005% behind her.

:hug:  I\'ll miss you sweetie...better keep me updated with the hotties in band and all your dance pictures.  Maybe I\'ll fly out there with my dad and visit sometime! Miss you!  It\'s been a great time modding with you (through it all)    bye!  see you floating around and on AIM!
