I told you it was yours to keep,
No matter what, it would always be yours,
You could make me laugh or make me weep.
At first you kept it in a box,
And held it close to you,
I never thought I\'d find a love,
That was so pure and true.
But then you played and toyed with it,
As though it were a deck of cards.
And I watched as you simply tossed it aside,
and it shattered into a million shards.
There\'s no nicer way to say it now,
You simply broke my heart,
You took all that I had given to you,
And you tore it all apart.
I don\'t hate you, I\'m not bitter,
It\'s just hard to comprehend,
How you could do such a thing to me,
I thought our love would never end.
I don\'t need another heart anyway,
because without you I am not whole,
The only thing I have left to give you,
Is my body, mind, and soul.
I\'d be willing to give up anything,
If it would mean you loving me,
I would gladly let my soul be gone,
and send my body out to sea.
Maybe then you\'ll understand,
And your love I\'ll finally have won,
Then you could share your heart with me,
and our hearts could beat as one...
