The Ship
« on: August 09, 2006, 10:15:00 pm »
As the ship pulls away from it\'s dock
swaying drunkenly in the battering breeze
wispy tendrils of wind
threading their way throughout the masts
it\'s gutteral moan resonates
deep within my skull
it\'s sails billow against the wind
and ripples follow in it\'s wake
slowly gathering in intensity
until innocent ripples
become foaming white waves
rolling to spread the boat\'s message

with the sun setting upon the horizon
a stretch of turquoise blanket away
it disappears into the late day fog
the mist surrounding the image
of adventurous beauty

As night begins to fall
the shadows play upon wooden planks
reenacting scenes of imagination
on a splintered screen

As the ship glides seamlessly through the sea
it gathers friends along the way
dolphins play
running alongside the monstrous
yet humble (and majestic)
new playmate like children
giddy with the wonder
of what life has hidden from them
just beyond the horizon
The ship takes them there
cutting a determined path
through the quivering blanket
hiding treasures untold

it\'s good
I think you should maybe combine some of the lines in the end.  It seems kind of choppy at the end.
