well, i tried to edit this but im spastic and coldn\'t get my rebellious computer to behave. SO!....here\'s an updated version of this poem. Don\'t mean to obnoxious by posting twice here, but I wanted to get feedback on the most recent revision. THANX!
I remember holding you,
or was it you held me?
I remember seeing you,
beilieving you saw me.
So close, so warm, so safe , so new;
So strange to feel so much.
So happy, laying, holding you
Elation in a touch.
Your arms round me, I rest on you
You sleep so silent, deep
More than this, you need not do
If this night we\'d forever keep.
A tear is shed, mine or yours?
So sad, so far apart;
So close, so hard to let this go
I breathe the beating of your heart.
Against my face, your sweet smile draws
As slumber takes you in
And I will stay too long because,
I\'ll not be here again.
Notice that I do not shake,
I\'m stronger in your arms
and when I leave tonight, I\'ll take
The memory of your charms.
It\'s all i need, I feel you breathe
You pull me in, I sink to you
A part of you and you are me
Too soon, to break myself from you.
I close my eyes, contentment is
Resting at your side
One body in another\'s kiss
In the stillness my heart opens wide.
Against your face, my tired smile draws
As slumber takes us in
And I have strayed too long because,
We\'ll not be here again
