I need to break up with her...

Well, if I were you I would just try really hard to work things out with her first. Its not worth breaking up over. You might really regret it. But thats my opinion. To break up with her, just tell her the truth. Ask her what she thinks about it. Like if she thinks that it would really work out. Make sure if you really think it wont work, you make sure (if other people ask) you call it a break up. Not you dumping her. Trust me. Just talk to her about it. Get her involved. Tell her all your thoughts and give her a really good explaination.

If you don\'t ever have anything to talk about, then that isn\'t a good sign, because it means you probably won\'t have any time to get to know her better, cause you are in constant awkwardness. It\'s what happens when you don\'t take the time to get to know her better as a friend before diving in . Anyway, tell her you feel that there isn\'t much to talk about or something, and see what happens, but don\'t spend too much time trying to work on it. Besides, if she has low self-esteem, then she needs a good friends more than a bf. Be honest with her.

Let her down easy but don\'t sugarcoat it either. Kuky\'s right, if she has low self esteem the last thing she really needs is a boyfriend.  I\'m sure it will be fine .

If you need to break up with her then do it. You aren\'t happy in the relationship so you should end it. Talk to her, tell her that although you like her as a person and think she\'s very pretty, nice, etc., you don\'t see the relationship going any where.
Do it now before things get any more complicated or involved. Think of it this way: would you want to stay in a relationship with someone who wanted to break up, but only hesitated to keep from hurting your feelings? No, you would want, and deserve,the truth. So does she.

Well, dumping was never meant to be nice, so tell her the truth and move on with your life.

I have to break up with my girlfriend, she\'s really beautiful, and she\'s nice, we just can\'t talk about anything. I\'ve not been going out with her long but I\'ve been going out with her long enough to know it\'s not going to work out. The problem is she\'ll probably think it\'s because she\'s ugly as she think very lowly of herself and has bad self esteem issues. How would I do it without hurting her too badly?
