Well, if it wasn\'t like you were going out, then why did you have to dump him? OR, did you just reject him? If that\'s the case, then whether you want to talk to him or not is really up to you... If you aren\'t the best of friends, then his \"really liking you\" is a plain meaningless crush, which is get-overable much easier if there\'s no contact...
but on the other hand, suppose you were best friends or something similarily close, and there really is a reason for him really liking you, then only a bit of distance is required, because if you completely stop talking to him, then he will feel even worse, because not only did you reject him, but you ruined the friendship you had together. So, you have to come up with some balance, based on how close you feel that you are.
